Declared Value Coverage

Declared Value Coverage protects your items of medium value against loss or damage. The process is much the same as our "Standard Coverage", except that there is a cost of coverage charge.

In the event of loss or damage, the loss or damage is to be noted on the Bill of Lading, and a Loss or Damage at Delivery form filled out. This form will include the weight or estimated weight of the lost or damaged items, the value or estimated value of the lost or damaged items, the noted damages or losses and the suspected cause of the damages.

For valid claims, monetary compensation is provided, up to the declared value (the depreciated value as noted on the claim form) of the damaged goods, or up to a maximum of $1.50 per lb or the cost to repair or replace.
