Standard Coverage

Standard Coverage provides minimum levels of protection against loss or damage of goods. It is free of charge and requires little more than a verbal acknowledgement of visible damages before items are relocated.

In the event of loss or damage, the loss or damage is to be noted on the Bill of Lading, and a Loss or Damage at Delivery form filled out. This form will include the weight or estimated weight of the lost or damaged items, the value or estimated value of the lost or damaged items, the noted damages or losses and the suspected cause of the damages.

Office Move Direct will provide monetary compensation for valid losses or damages, up to $.60 per pound per article or the cost to repair or replace, which ever is less. Though this coverage does not provide a sizable amount of protection for items of high value, it is recommended for items of standard value.
